As per Uganda export data, Uganda’s top 10 export commodities in 2019 were Pearls & Precious Stones (35.3%), Coffee, Tea, Mate & Spices (14.6%), Mineral Fuels & Oils (4.9%), Fish & Crustaceans (4.8%), Cereals (3.3%), Sugars & Sugar Confectionery (2.3%), Cocoa & Cocoa Preparations (2.1%), Tobacco (2.1%), Animal or Vegetable Fats & Oils (2.0%) and Dairy Products (1.9%).
Uganda export statistics show Uganda’s top 10 exports accounted for 73.3% to overall value of goods exported by the country in 2019. Uganda customs data shows dairy, eggs and honey represents the fastest grower among the top 10 export categories, up by 81.5% from 2018 to 2019. As per Uganda trade data, the leading decliner among Uganda’s top 10 export categories was sugar including sugar confectionery, thanks to a -64.8% drop year over year. As per Uganda customs data, Uganda’s top 10 export partners in 2019 were United Arab Emirates (USD 1,195 million), Kenya (USD 442 million), Sudan (USD 413 million), DR Congo (USD 249 million), Italy (USD 141 million), Turkey (USD 126 million), Netherlands (USD 99 million), Belgium (USD 81 million), Germany (USD 79 million) and Tanzania (USD 68 million).
Uganda export data shows Uganda’s top 10 export partners accounted for 81.4% to overall value of shipments departed from the country in 2019. As per Uganda trade statistics, 51.8% of Uganda’s exports by value were delivered to fellow African countries while 28.1% were shipped to Asian importers. According to Uganda shipment data, Uganda exported another 18.2% worth of goods to European countries. Smaller percentages went to North American (1.8%), Oceania (0.1%) led, Latin America (0.1%).
