Turkey export data shows Turkey’s top 10 exports in 2020 were Vehicles (13.0%), Machinery (9.9%), Electrical Machinery & Equipment (5.4%), Iron & Steel (5.2%), Knitted or Crocheted Apparel & Clothing (4.9%), Plastics (4.1%), Pearls & Precious Stones (3.9%), Not Knitted or Crocheted Apparel & Clothing (3.8%), Articles of Iron & Steel (3.7%) and Edible Fruits & Nuts (2.8%).
According to Turkey customs data, Turkey’s top 10 export commodities in 2020 accounted for 56.7% to overall value of shipments. Based on Turkey trade statistics, fruits and nuts was the fastest-growing among the top 10 export categories, up by 15.6% year over year since 2019. As per Turkey export data, Turkey’s top 10 export partners in 2020 were Germany (USD 15.9 billion), United Kingdom (USD 11.2 billion), United States (USD 10.1 billion), Iraq (USD 9.1 billion), Italy (USD 8.0 billion), France (USD 7.2 billion), Spain (USD 6.6 billion), Netherlands (USD 5.1 billion), Israel (USD 4.7 billion) and Russia (USD 4.4 billion).
As per Turkey trade statistics, Turkey’s top 10 export partners accounted for 48.9% to overall value of shipments in 2020. From a continental perspective, 55.7% of Turkey’s exports by value were delivered to European countries while 26% were sold to Asian importers. Turkey exported another 9% worth of goods to Africa. Smaller percentages recorded from North America (6.9%) and Latin America excluding (1.7%).
