As per Rwanda export data, list of Rwanda’s top 10 exports as follows Pearls & Precious Stones (27.0%), Coffee, Tea, Mate & Spices (13.9%), Mineral Fuels & Oils (12.9%), Ores, Slag & Ash (8.7%), Miscellaneous Edible Preparations (4.2%), Products of Milling Industry (3.4%), Animal or Vegetable Fats & Oils (3.2%), Cereals (2.7%), Residues & Waste from Food Industries (2.2%) and Sugars & Sugar Confectionery (1.8%). Rwanda trade data shows Rwanda’s top 10 export commodities accounted for 80% to overall value of export shipments in 2019.

Rwanda trade data shows only 2 of the top export categories increased in value from 2018 to 2019 namely gums, resins and other vegetable saps (up 131.1%) and live trees, plants plus cut flowers (up 18.3%). As per Rwanda export statistics, leading the decliners among Rwanda’s top 10 export categories were mineral fuels including oil thanks to its -97.8% drop, weighed down by falling international revenues for crude oil.
