Singapore is a country in Asian continent, which stood as the world’s 16th largest import country and 15th largest export country in 2019. Singapore’s largest trading partner was China, which shared 13.2% to total Singapore imports and 13.2% to total Singapore exports. Singapore’s top 10 import partners accounted 68.9% to overall value of shipments and Singapore’s top 10 export partners accounted 70.7% to overall value of shipments recorded in 2019. According to Singapore import data, Singapore’s total imports valued USD 359 billion in 2019. From a continental perspective, 66% of Singapore’s total imports by value in 2019 were imported from fellow Asian countries. Another 16.6% of goods were imported from European suppliers, while 13.5% worth of commodities originated from North America. Smaller percentages recorded from Oceania (2%), Africa (1.1%) and Latin America (0.7%).

From a continental perspective, 72.5% of Singapore’s exports by value were delivered to fellow Asian countries, while 10.1% of export commodities were shipped to European importers. Singapore supplied another 9.5% worth of products to North America. Smaller percentages were recorded from Oceania (4.6%), Australia (1.8%) and Africa (1.4%).

Singapore’s top 10 import partners in 2019 were China (USD 49.0 billion), United States (USD 43.9 billion), Malaysia (USD 41.6 billion), Taipei, Chinese (USD 32.3 billion), Japan (USD 19.3 billion), Indonesia (USD 15.6 billion), South Korea (USD 13.7 billion), France (USD 12.1 billion), United Arab Emirates (USD 11.5 billion) and Germany (USD 9.9 billion). Singapore’s top 10 export partners in 2019 were China (USD 51.6 billion), Hong Kong (USD 44.3 billion), Malaysia (USD 41.1 billion), United States (USD 34.4 billion), Indonesia (USD 27.3 billion), Japan (USD 17.6 billion), Taipei, Chinese (USD 16.3 billion), Thailand (USD 15.3 billion), South Korea (USD 15.2 billion) and Vietnam (USD 12.9 billion).
