India is the world’s largest importer of palm oil and
its oil shipments mainly come from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. However,
the country is planning to cut imports of palm oil due to concerns about oil
affecting the health of people. Still, palm oil is used in manufacturing different
products, particularly eatables, so India is majorly dependent on Indonesia and
Malaysia for oil imports as both countries are the biggest producers and
exporters of palm oil in the world.
